The Construction Project on US-89 has officially begun
|The initial phase includes removing and replacing Pedestrian Ramps at various intersections along US-89. Please be cautious and courteous while driving through the work zone.
Starting on May 30th construction crews will begin rotomilling (removing) the top 1.5 inches of the road surface. This work will start at 1600 North and head South. After the rotomilling is complete, crews will overlay the freshly ground road with 2 inches of new asphalt.During this time, travel along portions of the road will be limited to a single lane with Flaggers directing traffic. Be prepared for delays of up to 15 minutes if you are traveling through the construction zone during working hours.
|Keep in Mind
The contractor will maintain access to properties and side streets throughout the project. If your access is directly adjacent to US-89 you may experience temporary loss of access due to construction directly in front of your property. You will be notified before the contractor begins this work. The segment between 1600 N and 3000 S is expected to be completed by mid-June, with the southern end to be completed by fall of 2018One lane of traffic in each direction will remain open in most areas along SR-89 with traffic controls in place continuously.
