The Utility Department is a service oriented department, responsible for the overall management of the City’s finances.  The department serves the Mayor and City Council, department heads and employees, Mapleton City citizens, and the general public.

Utility Billing Clerk:

  • Performs various clerical and secretarial duties as needed to assist the Finance Director to expedite administrative activities of the office; prepares letters, memos for formal and informal communications; updates records; maintains files, etc.
  • Performs duties related to the Utility Billing
  • Receives money paid to the city including utility bills
  • Periodically takes deposit to the bank
  • Performs related duties as required, assisting with customers at the front counter and on the telephone.  Assists public by receiving bill payments and answering questions and complaints

Cashier:
