| Mapleton In Bloom Let’s put Mapleton on the map as one of the most beautiful cities in Utah! Mapleton Parks & Recreation is excited to partner with the community and Maple Mountain Greenhouse in a new city-wide beautification program. Residents and businesses have the opportunity to sponsor stunning flower boxes or hanging baskets throughout the city. Groups, families, or individuals can volunteer to maintain the flowers and other garden areas. Eagle Scout Projects are available. The sponsorships available are: 12" hanging basket - $75; 20" flower box - $150; "flower" tree - $300. See the pictures on the Sponsorship Flyer below. As a sponsor, your name will be displayed by the planter in appreciation. This is a great way to advertise! If interested in becoming a sponsor or volunteer, please contact the Parks & Recreation Office at 806-9114. In order to have the planters ready by May, the sponsorship deadline is February 15 th.As another part of the program, citizens are encouraged to beautify their yards. Bi-weekly gardening articles by Maple Mountain Greenhouse will be published in the Foothill Breeze to answer questions, and share new ideas. In addition, Mapleton City is offering a Gardening Class beginning February 10 th.
